In 2022, John Delany Motors completed a 3-bay extension to our workshop giving us the capacity to carry our MOT Tests, repairs, and servicing on all Class 7 Vehicles.
Class 7’s are commercial vehicles that have a gross weight of between 3,000kg and 3,500kg. For example, Ford Transits and Mercedes Sprinters. Your vehicles V5 registration document or vehicle handbook will detail if your vehicle falls into this weight category. Some pick ups, motorhomes, horseboxes and vans are Class 7’s.
Our fully qualified technicians and MOT Testers and brand-new equipment and technology means that your vehicle is in the safest hands and we’re able to get you back on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Our Class 7 MOT’s cost just £58.60 and take around 50 minutes to compete. Relax in our waiting room with complimentary refreshments or take a walk into Stockport, just 5 minutes away.
Should your vehicle fail its MOT test, we offer a free re-test within 10 working days. Booking is required for all MOT’s and is done by timeslot, you must arrive 5 minutes before your allotted time.
An MOT test is an annual inspection to ensure that your vehicle meets the minimum requirements set out by the DVSA. It is a comprehensive series of inspections of the vehicle to ensure that it is in a roadworthy condition and meets the minimum safety standards required by law.
Our state of the art MOT Testing pit was installed in 2022, at 9 metres long it and allows us to carry out MOT tests on the largest of vehicles. Our MOT Technicians are all trained by the DVSA. We have two full-time MOT Testers with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Their sole job is to carry out MOT Tests. In addition to this, we have a further 4 vehicle technicians are fully trained testers and have also undergone their DVSA MOT Tester training. This allows us to carry out 16 MOT Tests per day. All of our technicians are also trained to carry out MOT Tests on Hybrid and Electric vehicles.
